Have you ever ridden a flume ride, or been thrilled by a trip on a wooden roller coaster? Seen monkeys, lions, camels, whales and huge snakes up close and personal? All these experiences and more are waiting for you in Southwest Nova Scotia!

We have community-owned museums and centres celebrating firefighting, hockey, country music, photography, farming and dory making, as well as 14 different branches of the provincial Nova Scotia Museum. Our museums feature exciting collections and historical characters demonstrating the skills of bygone eras. We have wildlife parks and a remarkable zoo, the uniquely entertaining Upper Clements Theme Park, and a host of festivals celebrating our agricultural and sea going heritage!

The kids will love exploring the many beaches and trails along our lakes and coastal regions and witnessing the dramatic change in the world’s highest tides!
