What To Do

Phenomenal Fundy

Visit one of the picturesque harbour communities along the shoreline of the Bay of Fundy and witness the world's highest tides!  It is approximately 6 hours and 13 minutes between high and low tide, so if you’re beach combing or exploring the many inlets and caves be sure to keep an eye on the tide times.

The volume of water moving through the Bay up to the Minas Basin each day is estimated at 14 billion tons, the combined flow of all the rivers on Earth. It’s no wonder that some of that energy is being harnessed in the tidal power plant in Annapolis Royal.

Some of the best birding, whale watching, hiking, fossils & sea cliffs and rafting experiences tides-cta.gifare to be found on the Bay of Fundy

Several rivers at the top of the Bay are deeply affected by the tidal pull. As the tide comes in, you’ll see a dramatic tidal bore, a wave traveling against the current, tumbling and foaming up the river.
