Bluenose Coast
The Bluenose Coast following along the Lighthouse Route from Peggy’s Cove to Lunenburg Area, is home to Canada’s sailing ambassador, the tall ship Bluenose II, whose homeport is Lunenburg. This coastal experience begins at the most photographed lighthouse in North America and Nova Scotia’s most recognized tourist destination, the lighthouse anchored on the rugged granite headland at Peggy’s Cove.
The Bluenose Coast sails along the twin bays of St. Margaret’s Bay and Mahone Bay and the picturesque communities that make up this treasured seaside destination. Hubbards is a charming 215 year old seaside village where lobster suppers are popular. See the unspoiled beauty of the Aspotogan Peninsula. The area boasts fishing villages, seaside vistas and 10 beaches.
